Basses

  • Carvin BB 5-string, beat and played, but a sleeper of a bass, $400
  • Acacia Custom 5-string, Pommelle sappelle top, lacewood back, Jatoba, purple heart and mahogany neck, Ebony board mahogany body core, Aero soapbars, John East U-retro pre-amp, Matching Sappelle knobs, rare non-thumbrest neck-thru. This particular bass had the neck carved to match the original owner's Fodera Emperor's neck, 35" scale, gig bag, sick, SIIIIIIICK bass. Plays like butta'! Sad to see it go... $2450
  • 2010 Roscoe SKB 3005, exhibition quilt top, wenge tone plate, ash body, deep amber finish, maple/purple heart neck with wenge fingerboard, Bart pick ups and 3-band pre-amp with push/pull mid frequency select, 35" scale, silky smooth thin neck with hipshot ultra lite tuners and A-style bridge, OHSC, original spec sheet. The Bass was finished on 2/19/10. Zero fret wear, zero issues, and super light weight. The only flaw on the bass is a small ding on the back of the upper horn that's so superficial I probably don't even need to mention it, but I like giving the best possible description I can. Also, this thing is LIGHT! I'll get out the scale, but I'd say in the 9 lb. range. Asking $2400
  • Benavente Benavente Greg Edmondson Custom 5. One of only two or three originally built for Greg Edmondson of the Memphis-based band BREAKING POINT. Amber tinted Spalted Maple top, Maple back, 24-fret Maple board, 7-piece neck (maple/wenge/maple/purpleheart/maple/wenge/maple) with abalone blocks, 35" scale, and a truly unique body shape reminiscent of a mix of both a Carl Thompson top horn scroll and the Benavente "SCA" body shape on bottom. Weighs about 10 pounds Black Hipshot "A" bridge and keys with inset Dunlop straplocks. Aero dual coils, 18V Audere wired volume/tone, balance, bass, mid treble, Z-mode switch, active passive switch. This bass is no longer produced by Benavente. Retail of a new piece like it by Chris Benavente would hit somewhere in the $5k range, as built by Divinity Guitar Works. If this were a 34" scale it'd never leave. w/HSC $2250
  • Fender Deluxe P-bass 5-string, HSC, trans-teal, maple board, best 5er fender ever made this side of the Roscoe Beck. ACtive pre-amp and OHSC. $1150
  • '78 Alembic Series I small body, 30.75" scale (short scale), Myrtle top and back, mahogany core, 5-piece maple/purpleheart neck, ebony board, zebrawood headstock facings, power supply, cord, and original blue case. The upper strap button was moved to the horn and The bridge has been changed to a schaller roller. Electronics are in great shape. $3850 as is or I can order, install and have a new bridge and tailpiece for it for $4250
  • Acacia Gruv/GLB 5-string, Plum finish over Ash body, with 2tek bridge, padauk/purple heart neck, Macassar ebony fingerboard, EMG pick ups and 2 band pre-amp, 35" scale. comes in an SKB hardshell case. Also comes with and extra, unused NOS purple Acacia body. $1400
  • Ibanez Gary Willis GW-1 fretless 5-string, first run, see thru black finish, ebony fingerboard, Ramp, gig bag, single best bass ibanez has ever made. This is marked as a Factory B-stock, but it shows no sign of cosmetic or functional issues. My guess is that the black body was never offered as a fretless thus making it "un-orderable" for dealers. Regardless, great playing, lightweight, pencil necked fretless. $1000
